That was completely different! He never whined about any of the hits he took. The whining on the safety was toward the officials and the call they made. Ben would have (and should have) done the same thing in that spot. That whining is completely irrelevant.

Good read. Ben rarely hits receivers in stride. He did a great job yesterday. I was also very impressed with Gay, Blake and McCain. They should be your starters.

Dk, not to b negative, but I’m wondering about the pooch punt. What would b T’s thinking? Does Ben have a play/punt option? If not, what is the possible advantage of a “surprise” punt vs a regular ST punt? Personally, I’d go for it any <5yds inside the 35. Your thoughts?

I agree Pagano is a class act. He had a couple of rants on the sidelines directed at the refs. The officiating is too rediculous for any coach.

It felt like a revelation. An offense can function without the bubble screen into press coverage as its base offense.

I fear Haley is so stubborn and insecure that he’ll force more bubble screens into press coverage just to prove that he wasn’t wrong.

Has to be hard to do, especially when you just watched your supposed SB contending team get shredded up and down the field. I would have a hard time doing much more than shake his hand there. I give Chuck a lot of credit for that.

I noticed that, too, Jim. I wondered if he was relating something about Arians and what Arians said about Ben, but his comment that DK relayed may indicate it was more about what he thought. Classy, I agree.

Never whined? He sure whined after that safety was called. Or did you miss him pointing to “an area” where a receiver “was in the vicinity”, 10 yds away and not looking for the ball.

Speaking of gaining respect for the opponent, I noticed Pagano spent a good bit of time whispering something to Ben on the way off the field. I assume he was expressing admiration for what Ben had just done to his defense. Seemed like a classy gesture, in defeat, to me.
